2026 Thanksgiving Collection – Relief
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
– Colossians 3:17
When disaster strikes, whether a natural disaster or man-made crisis, people are in need of immediate care. Food, clean water, shelter, and healthcare are necessities that we cannot survive without. And while we here in Canada might have a safety net around us, there are millions of people internationally who are without hope.
Spiritual care during these difficult times is also important, which is why we partner only with Christian organizations. They are able to share basic physical needs with the love and compassion of our Lord and Saviour. Partners will often hand out Bibles, pray and share the Gospel with affected individuals, and invite them to join worship at a local church.
Relief projects make up a significant portion of our budget each year. In 2026 thus far, we have been able to support with a value of $321,700. This support has gone to projects and needs in Venezuela (earthquake), Haiti (displaced families), Lebanon (milk, diapers, fem pads), South Sudan (medical aid), Southern Lebanon (war), Ukraine (war), and Yemen (civil unrest). We also just recently signed an agreement to help in Nepal following the glacier collapse and flooding.
